| Yesterday, the Mt. Kisco Recreation Department reached out to the Mt. Kisco Fire Department for help improving ice conditions on Leonard Park Pond for skating.
Members from Station #3 Independent Fire Co. #13 , with assistance from Bedford Hills Fire Department Bedford Hills Fire Department (Tanker 5) and Katonah Fire Department Katonah Fire Department (Tanker 6), answered the call.
Together, crews sprayed over 9,000 gallons of water onto the pond to help smooth and strengthen the ice.
The operation took more than 90 minutes to complete and was a great example of teamwork between departments.
