On Sunday April 3rd our annual communion mass and breakfast. Chief Hughes (Car 2281) received his final salute as Chief Of Department. After serving as assistant chief, and Chief Of Department. Chief David Hughes is stepping down. Being chief during Covid has not been an easy task. The management of the department medical, along with the safety of the firefighters was an added difficult task. So many events were not able to be held. As Chief he was number one for responses to alarms. David, Chief Hughes has always been a great volunteer, and was a true chief. He has served us and the department well. On Thursday April 14th at the department meeting Chief Hughes will be passing down his badges to Chief Hochstein.
