On Friday February 15th, Brett Schlosser returned to Newark Airport, where he was met by his girlfriend Katherine and Engineer Ray Zaccari. Schlosser is an Army Reserve Medic based out of the 411 Engineering Brigade, located in Newburgh, NY.
Brett deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan in April of 2012 as a Private First Class. He spent most of his time at an outpost in Sharana. While Brett was deployed, he was promoted to the position of Specialist. The U.S. Army held an Award Ceremony at the Newburgh base, where he was the recipient of many awards.
Brett currently holds the position of Head Engineer of Engine 105 in the Independent Fire Co. He has been a member of the Independent Fire Co. since March of 2009, when he transferred from the Chappaqua Fire Department. The Independent Fire Co. is very happy to have Brett home safe and sound from his time in Afghanistan. Thank you Brett Schlosser and the 411 Engineering Brigade for your service to our country!
