Yeshiva Structure Fire

On Friday February 17th approximately 6:20 PM 60 Control received a call reporting a fire at 15 Yeshiva Road. Dispatched were Engine 104,105 Tower Ladder 14 and Rescue 31 Tankers 14,15 from Millwood and Yorktown. Was not long before the chief transmitted the 1075, adding Engine 103,106 Rescue 15 Tower Ladder 57 FAST Tanker 5,6 Bedford Hills, Katonah and Westchester Battalion 16. Upon arrival smoke was showing, soon after also reported heavy fire from the rear of the structure. There was a hard push by the interior attack crews, however there was a tremendous fire load. Additional units were dispatched Tankers for water supply, 1,7,10,16, and engines 198,286,109,248,146 Tower Ladder 5 and engine 98, U51 FAST. Relocated to MKFD Engine 88 and Tower Ladder 42. Gators were used from Pound Ridge and Somers due to the tight roads. One mile of 5" house was used in total. The first due units remained on the scene for seven hours. Then returning numerous time in the early morning and throughout the day to extinguish hot spots. Special thanks to all the mutual aid companies for their efforts, and countless hours, as well as the return trips. And thanks to the Dispatchers at 60 Control for their professionalism, hard work and an outstanding job.
