February 1963, The voice of KED-281 Gets a new home. Volunteer dispatchers will now man the Control Center at the Westchester County Parkway police Headquarters. The communications center was relocated from White Plains Fire Headquarters. This due to a state mandate requiring paid firemen to work reduced hours.
