Farewell to Engine 105
By Ex-Captain Peter Hughes, Jr.
July 29, 2013
On Monday July 29, 2013, Independent Fire Company members and friends gathered at Station 3 to reminisce about Engine 105 which was in service since 1989. Members and non members were able to drive the engine one last time. In August, Engine 105 will go to it's new home with the Town of Broome Volunteer Fire Department in Livingstonville, NY which was devastated by Hurricane Irene in 2011. Many stories were told and a good time was had by all.
