Structure Fire At Leonard Park

On Thursday April 21st at 12:30 PM MKFD was dispatched for a fire at 1 Wallace Drive, (Leonard Park) The fire was located on the rear decking of the tea house/pagoda. On arrival 2283 reported fire in the rear. Engine 105 was first due despite the (siren malfunction) while in route. Two 1-3/4" lines were stretched on arrival and water was quickly on the fire. FAST Team Responds to Katonah

Fast acting firefighters helped save a home and avert a disaster in Katonah, Saturday afternoon.

At around 3:30 p.m. firefighters responded to a blaze that engulfed the deck of a home on Bedford Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to the scene at 9 Bedford Ave. and found that the home's gas grill was also on fire and the flames were creeping towards the house's outer wall.

Company Host to Art Students

Rich has served many with his artistic work, Graphics with his sign business, our head table in the meeting room, and recent repairs to utility 13. Croton Falls Breakfast

The Independent Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company with approximately 65 members. The company is one of four that make up the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. The other three companies are the Union Hook & Ladder Co #1, the Mutual Engine & Hose Co #1 and the Mount Kisco Rescue & Fire Police.
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department covers approximately 3 square miles, half of which in the Town / Village of Mount Kisco proper, and the other half is made up of sections of the Town of New Castle and the Town of Bedford. The M.K.F.D. protects a population of approximately 18,000 people.
