Engine 106 takes in MVA on the Saw Mill River Parkway

Ex-Captain Eric Hartmann, April 17

Mt. Kisco Fire Department along with Mt. Kisco Ambulance Corps were dispatched to a MVA on the Saw Mill River Parkway, South Bound in the area of the pump house. It was reported to be a car that rear ended a NYS DOT Truck. Upon arrive the E-106 crew assessed the scene for any additional hazard, then assisted EMS with patient removal.

Final Working Fire For Captain And Chief

On March 24th MKFD was dispatched for a structure fire in the area of Main Street and West Way. Upon arrival Battalion 16 transmitted a 1075 for #3 Circle Drive structure was fully involved. E-105 was first due with E-104 stretching for water supply to the nearest hydrant. All units were on scene for approximately three hours. Sunday March 30, 2014 was the annual communion breakfast for the Mt. Kisco Fire Department. Chief Thomas Jackson has served as Chief for the past eight years. He served six years as assistant chief and two as chief of department. Over the past two years MKFD has responded to (1291) alarms. Working Fire In Bedford Hills

In the early morning hours of March 25th. BHFD was dispatched to a structure fire at 234 Bedford Center Road. The alarm was called in at approximately 12:35 AM. On Arrival 2031 Chief Bueti transmitted a 1075 dispatching additional tankers and U-13 for the FAST requirement. Background:

The Independent Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company with approximately 65 members. The company is one of four that make up the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. The other three companies are the Union Hook & Ladder Co #1, the Mutual Engine & Hose Co #1 and the Mount Kisco Rescue & Fire Police.
 
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department covers approximately 3 square miles, half of which in the Town / Village of Mount Kisco proper, and the other half is made up of sections of the Town of New Castle and the Town of Bedford. The M.K.F.D. protects a population of approximately 18,000 people.
