Icy Road Causes Single Car Accident with Extrications on Route 128 in New Castle.

At approximately 9:30pm, Medic 1 (45M1) was responding to a call in Chappaqua from Armonk when we came upon a single car accident on Route 128 in New Castle. It appeared the driver encountered some black ice, lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree with the front driver side of her car. Clean up from House Fire is Delayed for Response to Car vs Truck Accident

While members of station 3 are in the process of cleaning up from the earlier house fire, a call comes in for a fluid spill as a result a car vs truck accident at the intersection of Radio Circle and Lexington Ave. Engine 106 and U-13 responded to find a vehicle with heavy front end damage after it rear-ended a box truck. MKFD fights House Fire in Sub Freezing Temperatures

A kitchen fire at 125 Spring Street brings the members of "The Swarm" & MKFD out into 13 degree weather. First unit on scene reported a working fire and transmitted a 10-75. Engine 105 was first due, the crew from the E-105 stretched the first attack line and entered the structure. Engine 104 supplied Engine 105, then their crew assisted with fire suppression. The Swarm Responds to Multi Car Accident That Shuts Down Saw Mill Parkway in Mt. Kisco

At 6:44 am Engine 105 and Utility 13 responded to a 17 car pile up on the Saw Mill River Parkway. The accident was southbound, just south of Route 133. Upon arrival crews found one pickup on it's roof and multiple other vehicles damage. Chief Hughes took command of the scene. Mt. Today on a cold and damp Sunday morning, members of the Independent Fire Company took part in a pumping drill at Fox Lane's Campus. Upcoming pump operators got to take full advantage of getting to know and operate the pumps on our engines by getting support by our experience members. The Independent Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company with approximately 65 members. The company is one of four that make up the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. The other three companies are the Union Hook & Ladder Co #1, the Mutual Engine & Hose Co #1 and the Mount Kisco Rescue & Fire Police.
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department covers approximately 3 square miles, half of which in the Town / Village of Mount Kisco proper, and the other half is made up of sections of the Town of New Castle and the Town of Bedford. The M.K.F.D. protects a population of approximately 18,000 people.
