MKFD responds to 10-75

Ex-Captain Peter Hughes, Jr., August 05

At 2036 on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, MKFD was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 148 North Bedford Road. Ex-chief Tom Jackson arrived on scene and contacted 60-Control to report a 10-75 at the above location. Upon arrival, 2283 also communicated to 60-Control a 10-75. MKFD takes in Bedford 2 Alarm

Late in the evening on July 26th the Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to Bedford Village near the Village Green for a working house fire. Bedford Village FD was first called for an automatic alarm from a home on Pound Ridge Road when Police on scene updated them to a fire in the rear of the residence. Clean Up In Full Swing For Mt. Kisco Parade

Kisco parade being held Friday night July 11, 2014 at 7 p.m. Members of the company are putting in great efforts to do their part in making everything throughout the fire house looking outstanding and most importantly the apparatus. Bailout Training At KFD

Live Burn

Live burn department drill. On the morning of 4/26/14, Mount Kisco Fire Department conducted a live burn training exercise. As well as being the best hands on training for members, It is a wonderful way to show the community what their local Emergency Services does to keep their community safe. The Independent Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company with approximately 65 members. The company is one of four that make up the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. The other three companies are the Union Hook & Ladder Co #1, the Mutual Engine & Hose Co #1 and the Mount Kisco Rescue & Fire Police.
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department covers approximately 3 square miles, half of which in the Town / Village of Mount Kisco proper, and the other half is made up of sections of the Town of New Castle and the Town of Bedford. The M.K.F.D. protects a population of approximately 18,000 people.
